Naval Reserve Information System Technician Marietta, GA Mar. 2001 - Present

Information System Technician

·             Lead C4I sailors in  Information System Administration  in South Korea during  Exercise Key Resolve in March 2008

·             In- charge of  SIPR, NIPR, Video Teleconference Communication, CENTRIX-K network connectivity, and account management for both US and South Korea Forces.

·             Researched with Operations Navy Assessment team on countries under EUCOM area of responsibility for Maritime Partnership Programs

·             Member of  planning, development and execution of  the embarkation plan for Exercise Austere Challenge 06

·             Supported various Comsixthflt Det 802 exercises in the capacity of network administrator, VTC administrator and IWS administrator resulting in various fleet certifications and Unit awards.

Information Assurance Engineer

·             Lead a team of engineers as independent contractors to conduct Security, Test and Evaluation as well as Certification and Accreditation for the Employment and Training Administration of Department of Labor in Washington DC a project worth $700,000.

·             Re-designed the Network infrastructure to fortified the security perimeter of the ETA DOL

·             Developed the plan of action, schedule and rules of engagement in executing this contract

·             Conducted overall risk assessment of the Department of Labor National General support system, Unemployment Insurance Database Management System, Foreign Labor Certification System and the Enterprise Business Support System.

·             Ensured that the department conforms to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Federal Information Security Management Act and Federal Information Processing Standards mandates, procedures and policies.

·             Investigated violations of Information Security Policies and made recommendation to mitigate those violations as well as conducted system vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security auditing.

 Energysouth Inc. Project                  Atlanta, GA                  Apr. 2003 – Apr. 2004

Project Manager

·             Responded to Energysouth Inc. request for proposal on its network connectivity, which covers four geographical areas in Southeast United States with 3.6 million customers and a staff of 29,000 to meet their long-term strategy plan.

·             Designed a three layer hierarchical network that is robust, cost efficient and redundant with less maintenance to support Energysouth’s enormous customer demands.

·             Migrated their multi-vendor software and equipment to one platform and manufacture respectively for better performance and easily resolvable thereby saving Energysouth 8 million dollars in operational and budgetary cost.

·             Developed a standard operational procedure to assist technician in collaboration with network functionality and remote access for repairs and troubleshoot.

·             The network design has benefited Energysouth in its interoperability, reliability, availability, and security of member servers. It has also increased company’s network scalability, manageability, security, and lowered total cost of ownership.

·             Worked closely with project team in bringing the project to the scheduled completion thereby saving Energysouth money.

 

 

Caney Creek Building Project              Alpharetta, GA       Jan. 2002 – Apr. 2003

Project Manager

·             Lead a team of four project managers to supervised and utilized resources, skills, expertise, and the infrastructure that are necessary to identify early stage opportunities and risks to assist project sponsors in constructing a new home.

·             The Caney Creek project was on schedule and concluded in 90 days at the budgeted cost of $226,680 taking into consideration all the risks of this project, include unforeseen weather, labor strikes, equipment failure, theft, lack of resources and budgets and government issues.

·             By partnering with the project sponsors, contractors, and subcontractors the home was finished under initial budget of $300,050 and still with the same specifications and dimension of the client’s requirement of the house.

·             Project documentation which included plan of action, scheduling, scope of project, budgeting, charter, partnering agreement, status report and risk assessment was compiled with the direction of my leadership.
